Bartender – 12 Hours, including every other Saturday
Reports To: Club Steward
Summary:
Provide a timely, accurate and friendly bar service to members and their guests attending Rowley Hill Club, whilst preparing high quality beverages and working within our licensing conditions and club age verification policy (shown overleaf), H&S requirements, and standard operating procedures.
Main Duties and Responsibilities.
1. To welcome, serve and generally assist where practical, members and guests attending Rowley Hill Club.
2. To serve drinks etc. to patrons and users of the Bars.
3. Check identification to ensure customers are of the required age to purchase alcohol.
4. Maintain the highest levels of customer service at all times.
5. Adhere to all Food Safety regulations and quality regulations.
6. To ensure all bar areas are kept clean and tidy at all times. Glasses washed, Fridges re-stocked, bottle and can bin emptied and floor mopped at end of shift. At quiet period’s shelves to be cleaned.
7. To follow emergency procedures and offer assistance to patrons when required.
8. To ensure wherever possible that stock wastage is kept to a minimum.
9. Handling cash, credit and debit card transactions ensuring all charges are accurate and returning the correct change to customers.
10. Complete the cashing up procedure at the end of each working day, securing in the relevant safe location.
11. To receive payments for membership, events tickets and other such items and to account for same.
12. To ensure that the building is locked and secure at the end of each working day.
Annual Leave
Appropriate notice (at least two clear weeks) must be given when requesting annual leave.
Dress Code
Smart/casual depending on shift. Trousers/Jeans are acceptable.
Sickness/Absence
If you are unable to come to work due to sickness or for any other reason, you (or someone on your behalf) must inform the Steward by 10.00am on the first day of absence. If unable to contact Steward then please contact a committee member.
Salary: Minimum Wage
